Keeping reading for my curated list of the best Instagram spots in NYC!

Landmarks + Parks

1. Radio City Music Hall

Nicknamed “The Showcase of the Nation”, Radio City Music Hall has got to be the most famous theater in all of NYC. That coupled with its retro neon facade makes it one of the best Instagram spots in NYC!

Photography Tip: To get that perfect Instagram photo, stand across the street and capture Radio City Music Hall in the background. It’s super Instagrammable from that angle!

Location: 1260 Avenue of the Americas (6th Ave), New York, NY 10020.

2. Dumbo – Manhattan Bridge View

The view of the Manhattan bridge in Dumbo is one of the most popular Instagram spots in NYC. You’ll pretty much always find a crowd snapping photos here.

It’s an iconic view with the Manhattan Bridge framed by two red brick former warehouses.

Photography Tip: You can get the Empire State Building framed between the bridge’s legs if you catch the right angle. You can see it in the distance in my pic.

Location:  39-21 Washington St, Brooklyn, NY 11201.

3. Brooklyn Bridge

The Brooklyn Bridge is one of NYC’s most famous sights and that in itself makes it one of the best Instagram spots in NYC! It’s a world famous bridge that connects Brooklyn to lower Manhattan.

You can either head up onto the Brooklyn Bridge to take your photos, or catch a view of the Brooklyn Bridge in the distance. The first photo below was taken from “pebble beach” in Dumbo.

Photography Tip: If you’re planning to shoot on the Brooklyn Bridge, go as early as possible. Ideally at sunrise. A lot of commuters use the Brooklyn Bridge to get to work, so it gets packed in the morning and is harder to get photos without other people in them as the day goes on.

The views are more breathtaking if you start on the Brooklyn side, so you capture the Manhattan skyline in the background.

Location: In Brooklyn, the Brooklyn Bridge Pedestrian Walkway starts at the intersection of Tillary Street and Boerum Place. From Manhattan, start at the northeast corner of City Hall Park.

4. Empire State Building

The Empire State Building is one of NYC’s most famous buildings and it’s a great place to catch a view of the rest of the city! The viewing platforms have been renovated and expanded giving you more opportunities to take the perfect Instagram photo.

Photography Tip: Don’t miss out on sitting in the window and catching a view of the World Trade Center in the distance! It’s Instagram gold!

Address: 20 W. 34th Street, New York, NY 10001.

5. Top of the Rock

Top of the Rock is a viewing platform at Rockefeller Center that offers some of the best views of New York City. It’s undeniably one of the best Instagram spots in NYC. You can capture an epic view of the Empire State Building in the distance.

Photography Tip: Go on a weekday if you can, and go early before the crowds descend!

Location: 30 Rockefeller Plaza, New York, NY 10112.

6. The Flatiron Building

With its unique triangular shape, my list of the best Instagram spots in NYC wouldn’t be complete without The Flatiron Building.

Originally called The Fuller Building, it was completed in 1902 and was a groundbreaking skyscraper at that time. When it was built, it was one of the tallest buildings in all of NYC.

Although its name derives from its resemblance to an old fashioned iron, I think the building looks more like a piece of pizza!

Photography Tip: This is another building where you’ll get the best spot by posing across the street from it. Bring a wide angle lens if you have one. In the pic below, I’m standing on a concrete block across the street from the building.

Location: 175 5th Ave, New York, NY 10010.

7. Grand Central Terminal

Grand Central Terminal is one of the most recognizable train stations in the world, putting firmly on my list of the best Instagram spots in NYC.

It seems like practically every movie set in NYC has a scene set in Grand Central. There’s something so romantic about an old train station that’s still in use today.

Photography Tip: The ceiling is beautiful. Bring a wide angle lens and take a photo from the viewing platform on either side of the main terminal. Expect crowds pretty much any time of day!

Location: 89 E 42nd St, New York, NY 10017.

8. Statue of Liberty

The Statue of Liberty – a national monument – is an iconic symbol of the city and definitely one of the best Instagram spots in NYC.

The Statue of Liberty was a gift of friendship from the people of France to the people of NYC. Its metal framework was designed by Gustave Eiffel (yes, THAT Eiffel). The Statue of Liberty is located on Liberty Island, which is just south of Ellis Island.

Tickets to visit the Statue of Liberty can be purchased from Statue Cruises, which is the only authorized seller of tickets. Anyone else who offers to sell you tickets to visit the Statue of Liberty is trying to scam you.

Photography Tip: Ask your photographer to lay on the ground to get the shot below with the full statue towering above you. My dad did a great job as my photographer that day, didn’t he? Thank you dad, love you!!!!

Location: If you’re visiting the Statue of Liberty from Manhattan, the Statue Cruises ticket counter and ferry terminal are located at 1 Battery Place, New York, NY 10004.

9. The Oculus

The Oculus is the most unique buildings in the world and definitely one of the best Instagram spots in NYC.

It was designed by the famous architect Santiago Calatrava and is a transportation hub and shopping mall that services the new World Trade Center. Essentially, it’s the ultimate Instagrammable subway station!

The exterior looks like a white winged bird (or dinosaur!!) and the interior is made up of interlocking white beams that look like ribs.

The Oculus has only been open since March 4, 2016, and has quickly become one of the most popular Instagram spots in NYC.

Photography Tip: This tip is similar to Grand Central Station – bring a wide angle lens and stand at the viewing platform on either side. Even if you go during a busy afternoon, people are pretty respectful so you should be able to jump in and grab a great photo.

Location: Westfield Word Trade Center, Church St, New York, NY 10006.

10. Times Square

Times Square is probably the most famous spot in all of NYC, and it’s also the noisiest and busiest! As a long time New York resident, I avoid going into Times Square as much as possible, but I do love to take photos of it from above.

Escape the hustle and bustle and find a rooftop or terrace view of Times Square to get that perfect Instagram shot. The one below was taken at the New York Marriott Marquise Hotel.

Photography Tip: Whether you’re jumping into the fray at street level or taking a photo from above, Times Square is perfect for night photography with all of its bright lights.

Location: Times Square is bordered by Seventh Avenue, 42nd Street, and Broadway.

11. The Vessel at Hudson Yards

The Vessel (located at The Shops and Restaurants at Hudson Yards, New York, NY 10001) is an eye-catching building that opened in March 2019 as part of the revitalization of Hudson Yards.

The Vessel has 154 interconnecting flights of stairs, with nearly 2,500 individual steps and 80 landings. When you climb up The Vessel, not only are you walking in a giant piece of interactive art, but you can also catch incredible views of the city and the Hudson River.

Admission: You need tickets to enter the structure. The Vessel is open Monday to Sunday from 10:00am to 9:00pm.

Timed tickets can be reserved for free up to 14 days before your visit. You can also pay $10 to reserve tickets up to 6 months in advance for a given date (which allow you to visit at any time on that specific day).

You can also line up to get free same day tickets. The ticket kiosks open at 9:30 am.

Photography Tip: Don’t miss out on also taking photos from inside The Vessel.

Location: 20 Hudson Yards, New York, NY 10001

12. The Edge

The Edge is NYC’s newest viewing platform. The Edge is the highest outdoor sky deck in the Western Hemisphere, at 100 stories up. It’s been design to appear suspended in mid-air and it has 360-degree views of New York City.

Admission: Admission is $38 for adults, $33 for children (6-12) and $36 for seniors (62+). Children 5 and under are free. You can save a couple of dollars by buying your tickets online in advance. NYC residents also get an extra couple of dollars off.

Photography Tip: Go at sunset and capture the city lighting up as the sun goes down!

Location: 30 Hudson Yards, New York, NY 10001.

13. Central Park

Central Park is NYC’s largest and most famous park, covering 843 acres in Manhattan! It’s beautiful nearly all year round, although my favorite times to visit Central Park is during the fall.

Photography Tip: Some of the best Instagram spots in NYC’s Central Park include:

  • Bow Bridge,
  • Bethesda Terrace and Fountain, and
  • from a rowboat by the Loeb Boathouse.

But even if you just wander through the park with no specific photo spot in mind, Central Park is always one of NYC’s most Instagrammable places.

Location: 59th Street to 110th Street, between Fifth Avenue and Central Park West.

14. Prospect Park

Prospect Park is the second largest park in Brooklyn, covering 526 acres.

It has a different feel than Central Park. To me, it feels a bit wilder and it also has a more local feeling. Because fewer tourists venture out in Brooklyn. So it’s worth visiting Prospect Park if you have time to explore Brooklyn.

Photography Tip: The Prospect Park Boathouse (pictured below and not to be confused with the Loeb Boathouse in Central Park) is my favorite spot to take Instagram photos in Prospect Park.

Location: Prospect Park is between the neighborhoods of Park Slope, Prospect Heights, Prospect Lefferts Gardens, Flatbush, and Windsor Terrace. Look for the giant green space in Google Maps!

15. 28th Street Subway Station

I know, I know. Given the sorry state of our very old subway system in NYC, it seems kind of odd to have a subway station on a list of the best Instagram spots in NYC. But hear me out!

The subway station at 28th Street and Lexington was updated in 2019. As part of the restoration, the city added beautiful pink floral glass mosaic murals based on drawings but artist Nancy Blum.

Photography Tip: The most famous mosaic isn’t pictured here because when I went, someone was sitting on the bench right under the mosaic! So you may have to be patient and take your photos between trains arrivals, so that you can get a picture without anyone else in it.

Location: 28th Street and Lexington.

16. Washington Square Park

Washington Square Park is a popular public park in Greenwich Village that has an iconic marble arch that is one of the best Instagram spots in NYC.

Look familiar? The arch was actually modeled after the Arc de Triomphe in Paris.

Photography Tip: Washington Square Park can get extremely crowded when the weather warms up. So either visit in the early morning or head there in the winter when it’s less crowded.

Location: New York, NY 10012.

17. Stuyvesant Street

Stuyvesant Street is one of NCY’s oldest streets! It’s located in NYC’s vibrant East Village. In the 18th and 19th centuries, it was a bustling market street. Now, it’s a quiet residential street that gives us a peek back into old New York.

Photography Tip: This little corner is at its most beautiful in the fall.

Location: Stuyvesant Street runs diagonally from 9th Street at Third Avenue, across to 10th Street a little west of Second Avenue.

18. Bushwick Inlet Park

Bushwick Inlet Park in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, offers one of the best views of the Manhattan skyline.

Photography Tip: Go into the part of the park that doesn’t allow dogs (there are signs). That’s where you’ll find this little sandy beach.

Location: Kent Avenue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, between North 9th and 12th Streets.

19. Domino Park

Domino Park is a 6-acre public park in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. I used to live in this neighborhood and this park wasn’t built until I moved out. But it’s a Brooklyn Instagram spot that’s not to be missed!

This used to be the site of an old Domino Sugar factory. Now it’s a popular park with incredible skyline views.

Photography Tip: Find the wooden stairs in my photo below.

Location: 300 Kent Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11249.

20. The Piers at Brooklyn Bridge Park

Some the best views of downtown Manhattan are from the piers in Brooklyn Bridge Park. You feel much closer to the skyscrapers when youj’re on a pier jutting out into the East River.

Photography Tip: Bring a zoom lens and use lens compression to make the downtown skyscrapers look as big as possible.

Location: On the Brooklyn side of the East River, in the Dumbo.

21. Jane’s Carousel

Jane’s Carousel is a car wooden carousel that was built in 1922 for an amusement park in Youngstown, Ohio by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company. It was restored and moved to the Dumbo neighborhood of NYC in 2011.

Photography Tip: If you love night photography, come when the carousel is all lit up!

Location: Old Dock Street, Brooklyn, NY 11201.

BROOKLYN, NY – JUNE 11, 2013: Historic Jane’s Carousel in Brooklyn at sunset with Manhattan Bridge on background. This restored 1922 carousel is housed in the pavilion under Brooklyn Bridge was built by Philadelphia Toboggan Comp.

22. Coney Island

Coney Island is a neighborhood in Brooklyn that is a summer-time destination for tourists and locals. Coney Island was a major seaside resort in the 19th century.

During its peak between around 1880 and World War II, Coney Island attracted millions of visitors per year and was home to three major competing amusement parks.

Coney Island is now home to the amusement park Luna Park and has well-known annual events like the Mermaid Parade (everyone dresses up like a mermaid) and a Fourth of July hot-dog eating contest.

One of my favorite things about Coney Island is that it’s beachside and has a wide boardwalk. You feel miles away from New York City in Coney Island, even though you’re still technically in NYC!

Photography Tip: Get the classic photo of the Wonder Wheel and then set out to explore. There are SO many colorful photo ops in Luna Park, on the boardwalk and in the surrounding area making Coney Island one of the best Instagram spots in NYC.

Location: The world famous Luna Park amusement park is located in Coney Island, which is a neighborhood in Brooklyn, at 1000 Surf Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11224.

23. Jacob Riis Beach

Did you know that NYC is full of wide sandy beaches? I didn’t either, until I moved here! One of my favorite things to do during the summer is hop on the subway or rent a Zipcar and head to a local beach for the day.

My favorite beach in NYC is Jacob Riis Beach in Queens, which is also know as “The People’s Beach”. It’s such a fitting name because you’ll see people from all walks of life enjoying the sun, sand and surf there.

Photography Tip: My favorite Instagram spot at Jacob Riis Beach is its ornate clock tower that was built in 1941.

Another Instagrammable option is to go glamping overnight by the beach with Camp Rockaway.

Location: 157 Rockaway Beach Blvd, Rockaway Park, NY 11694.

24. Long Island City Pepsi Sign

Long Island City (LIC) is actually out in the suburbs of Long Island, it’s in Queens!

Long Island City is home to an old fashioned Pepsi sign that is one of the best Instagram spots in all of NYC and still a little bit under the radar.

The sign dates from the 1940s when a Pepsi factory was located in the area, but now it’s pretty much all high rise condos though the sign remains. I absolutely love its vintage vibe!

Photography Tip: Be prepared to get creative with angles to fit the sign in your photo! Especially if you’re shooting in portrait for Instagram.

Location: 4610 Center Blvd, Long Island City, NY 11109

25. Roosevelt Island

Roosevelt Island is a long, narrow river in the East River. Formerly home to jails and hospitals, it’s now a primarily residential neighborhood that has epic views of midtown Manhattan and the Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge. Roosevelt Island is one of the best Instagram spots in NYC for two reasons.

First, it’s lined with cherry blossom trees that bloom brilliantly in the springtime.

Second, you can reach it by an arial tramway from Manhattan which is a great photo op in itself!

Photography Tip: Walk towards the Queensboro Bridge during springtime to find the most beautiful cherry blossom trees to photograph.

Location: East River, NYC.

26. Brooklyn Botanic Garden

Another epic place to take Instagram photos in the springtime is the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. The Brooklyn Botanic Garden has two long rows of cherry blossoms that explode into an array of pink and white blooms in April or May. Cherry blossom row is most definitely one of the best Instagram spots in NYC.

Photography Tip: Check the cherry blossom tracker on the Brooklyn Botanic Garden website before you go to make sure they are in peak bloom.

Location: 990 Washington Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11225.

27. Blank Slate Tea

Are you looking for somewhere pink to take that perfect Instagram photo? Head to Blank Slate Tea. It’s one of the best Instagram spots in NYC for so many reasons: its pink booths, floral wallpaper and adorable pink lattes that come decorated with rose petals. The owner and staff are also just the nicest people in NYC.

Photography Tip: Avoid the lunch rush so that you can get a prime spot in a pink booth.

Location: 121 Madison Ave #3, New York, NY 10016.

28. L’Appartement Sezane

No Instagram girl’s trip to Soho/Nolita is complete without a visit to L’Appartement Sezane, which is a French fashion boutique with a charming coffee shop inside.

Not only does this shop have the most gorgeous clothes and accessories, but it has the most charming floral facade.

Photography Tip: The flower installation is updated seasonally, so dress in season to match!

Location: 254 Elizabeth St, New York, NY 10012.

29. Pietro Nolita

How do you like your Italian restaurants? I like mine pink AF! If you need another pink fix after Blank Slate Tea, head to Pietro Nolita. This adorable restaurant is pink inside and out.

Photography Tip: Try taking photos from both sides of the exterior. You’ll get a slightly different look!

Location: 174 Elizabeth St, New York, NY 10012.

30. The Yumi Kim Mural

Trash, but make it fashion. This floral mural is painted on the side of the Yumi Kim store on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. It’s on the wall against which the Yumi Kim store keeps its trash bins. In the photo below, I’m sitting on Instagrammable trash bins, lol!

During colder seasons, the mural is repainted with darker, seasonal florals.

Photography Tip: Try to come after garbage day to get the best chance of getting a shot without any trash in.

Location: 105 Stanton St #1, New York, NY 10002

31. Cha Cha Matcha

Cha Cha Matcha is an Instagrammable matcha (green tea) shop that is full of fun pink details and neon signs. The tropical theme will make you feel like you’re in paradise even if you can’t leave NYC!

Photography Tip: Make sure to request latte art from the barista! They gave me “latte” art this time around (lol) but I’ve gotten cute palm tree art on other visits.

Location: Cha Cha Matcha now has multiple locations. My favorite is 373 Broome St, New York, NY 10013, but you can also hit up 1158 Broadway, New York, NY 10001, or 327 Lafayette St, New York, NY 10012.

32. Avocado Appetit – CLOSED

Update: I recently learned that this adorable cafe closed in the summer of 2019.

An avocado themed cafe complete with an avocado mural and avocado plush pillows? You guac my world! Avocado Appetit is one of the best Instagram spots in NYC and an awesome place to grab a bite to eat. Don’t forget to order some avocado toast!

Photography Tip: Go on a weekday outside of the lunch rush to score a prime table. The cafe is tiny!

Location: 114 Eldridge St, New York, NY 10002.

Woman at table in avocado themed restaurant

33. Tacombi

Tacombi is one of the best Instagram spots in NYC because every little detail in this Mexican restaurant is bold and colorful. Head here for tacos and margaritas and get playful for that perfect Instagram shot.

Photography Tip: You can’t go wrong here, but photos at the bar (which I didn’t get) are especially adorable!

Location:  Tacombi has 5 locations in NYC. My favorite is 255 Bleecker Street, New York, NY 10014. You can find the other NYC locations at:

  • 23 West 33rd Street, New York, NY 10118
  • 30 West 24th Street, New York, NY 10010
  • 267 Elizabeth Street, New York NY 10012
  • 25 Lafayette Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11217

34. M Tea

M Tea is an absolute pink paradise in Flushing, Queens. It’s worth the subway ride out here! Come for the pink photos, but stay for the boba and desserts.

Location: 36-56 Main St, Flushing, NY 11354.

Photography Tip: M Tea has at least 4-5 solid Instagrammable places. Leave yourself enough time to take photos. It’s bigger than I had expected.

35. 1803 NYC

1803 is a New Orleans inspired restaurant. It has the most fun pink and green wallaper, and the food is great too.

Photography Tip: Come right when they open to avoid having anyone in your shot.

Location: 82 Reade St, New York, NY 10007

36. Albertine Books

Albertine Books is a beautiful French bookstore on the Upper East Side. Its has a unique celestial themed ceiling on the upper level.

Photography Tip: You need a super wide angle lens if you want to capture the ceiling and a person in the room. The room is quite small.

Location: 972 5th Ave, New York, NY 10075

37. Old Rose

Old Rose is a popular Instagrammable cafe in NYC. It has a white marble bar and the classic checkered NYC floor.

Photography Tip: When I visited, they told us that they usually don’t allow professional cameras and only phone photos are allowed. That said, they let me snap a few photos with my camera. Other people I know have actually taken photos here with professional photogs. So their policy on photography is a little unclear and inconsistently enforced.

Location: 113 Jane St, New York, NY 10014

38. Remi Flower & Coffee

Remi Flower & Coffee’s name is pretty self-explanatory. It’s a combination of a coffeeshop and a florist.

Photography Tip: It’s popular, so can get busy. Come early if you can.

Location: 906 2nd Ave, New York, NY 10017

39. Sweet Moment

Sweet Moment is a coffee and tea shop in NYC’s Chinatown. Sweet Moment makes my list of the most Instagrammable places in NYC because of its coffee and tea cream art. Look how cute my pink and purple cream art drinks are in the pic below!

Photography Tip: Try to get the one big table by the front window so you can get natural light in your photo.

Location: 106 Mott St, New York, NY 10013

40. Jackson Hole Diner

Jackson Hole Diner is a retro diner in the Elmhurst neighborhood of Queens. This is one of the more off-the-beaten path Instagram spots in NYC.

You might recognize the diner from the movie Goodfellas – it’s vintage “Air Line Diner” sign and interior are featured in the movie. That’s how I convinced my husband to go there, since he usually isn’t interested in visiting all of the Instagrammable places in New York City.

Photography Tip: This is a very popular diner with the non-Instagram set! Come early, otherwise it will be really hard to get photos and you’ll be in everyone’s way.

Location: 69-35 Astoria Blvd N, Queens, NY 11370

41. Butler Bakeshop – North Williamsburg

Butler Bakeshop has a few locations in Brooklyn. I absolutely love the exterior of their North Williamsburg location with its pink window and door.

Photography Tip: Bring a wide angle lens. Also, don’t get confused and accidentally go to their South Williamsburg location. Make sure to put in the address below. Google map gets confused otherwise and sends you to the wrong location!

Location: 101 North 8th St, Brooklyn, NY, 11249.

42. Butler Bakeshop – Dumbo

My favorite spots to get a photo of the Brooklyn Bridge is this cozy corner table at Butler Bakeshop in Dumbo. Instead of bumping elbows with everyone on the street trying to get a photo with this view, you can sit and enjoy the view with a latte in hand.

Photography Tip: There’s only one table with this perfect view, so you may have to be patient and wait for it. This coffee shop is popular. Try coming at off-hours, such as before or after the lunch rush.

Location: 40 Water Street, Brooklyn, NY 11201

43. Maman

Maman is one of my favorite coffee shops in NYC. They have the most calming interiors, and the sweetest blue and white patterned china. Their disposable cups are also blue and white patterned so you can take a picture perfect latte on the go.

Photography Tip: Get a photo with one of their unique hanging tables.

Location: This photo was taken at the Greenpoint, Brooklyn, location at 80 Kent St, Brooklyn, NY 11222. Maman also has locations in Soho, Nomad, Tribeca and the Financial District.

44. Felix Roasting Co.

The interior of Felix Roasting Co. makes it feel like you’ve been dropped right into a Wes Anderson movie. The Instagrammable coffee shop is picture perfect, from its Chevron floors to its floral wallpaper.

Photography Tip: The best photo spot is directly in the center of the round coffee bar/counter.

Location: This photog was taken at the original location at 450 Park Avenue South, New York, NY 10016. They also have a newer location in Soho at 104 Greene St, New York, NY 10012.

45. Homecoming

Homecoming is a combination of a plant store, florist and gift shop that’s also a charming place to take Instagram photos.

Photography Tip: You really can’t go wrong inside of Homecoming – every corner is plant-filled and adorble.

Location: This photo was taken in their Greenpoint location at107 Franklin St, Brooklyn, NY 11222. Their Williamsburg location is just as Instagrammble at 92 Berry Street, Brooklyn, NY, 11249.

46. While We Were Young

While We Were Young is a little jewelbox of a restaurant in NYC’s West Village. It has a beautiful little bar and pink velvet chairs, which are perfect for Instagram.

Photography Tip: While We Were Young is popular and tiny. I recommend making a reservation or you may not be able to get a seat.

Location: 83 W 10th St, New York, NY 10014

47. Wonderworld

Anytime I’m looking for a pink backdrop for a photo, I head to the exterior of Wonderworld in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. This used to be an Alice in Wonderland themed Instagrammble pop up that has since closed. But the exterior is great if you’re in the Williamsburg neighborhood and want a perfectly pink backdrop.

Photography Tip: Don’t come at peak sun (midday) otherwise the pink looks really bleached out.

Location: 61 N 9th St, Brooklyn, NY 1124

48. Sprinkles Cupcake ATM

Want to have fun satisfying your sweet tooth? Head to the Sprinkles Cupcake ATM and make a withdrawal. Yes, it’s a pink ATM that dispenses cupcakes!

Photography Tip: The Sprinkles Cupcake ATM is on a busy street so you may need to dodge the crowds to get your photo.

Location: 780 Lexington Ave, New York, NY 10065.

49. Ladurée

Laduree tearooms originated in Paris and we are lucky enough to have two locations in NYC. Laduree is an ideal cafe to take elegant brunch Instagram photos in NYC. Or, you can take photos outside in their beautiful garden like I did.

Location: My photos were taken at their Soho location at 396 W Broadway, New York, NY 10021. You can also visit their Upper East Side location at 864 Madison Avenue.

50. Gitano Garden of Love

Gitano Garden of Love brings Tulum vibes to the heart of NYC. The original Gitano is a popular restaurant and bar on Tulum, Mexico’s, beach road. Now, you can relive your Tulum memories at the Gitano Garden of Love in NYC.

Gitano Garden of Love is an outdoor restaurant and mezcal bar set in a 24,000 square foot tropical garden in the heart of NYC’s SoHo.

Photography Tip: The restaurant is huge, so walk around and scout your favorite Instagrammble spots so you don’t miss anything.

Location: 76 Varick Street, New York, NY.

    1. Thanks so much Erika! I edit all of my photos using Adobe Lightroom. I create my own custom presets (aka filters) in Lightroom that I use on all of my pics. Hope that helps!

  9. Thanks so much for your suggestions! I plan on looking into some of these places while I’m living in NYC for a few months. The free activities will really help since I’m not working right now.

    1. Hey Michelle, so glad this was helpful! Enjoy your time in NYC – there are a ton of free activities to do there which is something I really love about it!

  10. Long Island City is on Long Island! Queens is on
Long Island! Yes, it’s one of the five boroughs, but look at a map!!!!

    1. Geographically yes if you’re into maps, but I’ve never ever heard anyone from Queens or Brooklyn say they live on Long Island. I’m using Long Island colloquially to refer to Nassau and Suffolk County. Just as I use the term “City” to only refer to Manhattan and not the rest of New York City. These are both generally accepted usages.

  11. This is one of the most comprehensive NYC photo lists! You listed so many places I’d never heard of/aren’t on anyone else’s list. Thank you so much this will make photo planning my upcoming NYC trip so much easier!

  12. This is a great list, thank for compiling! I grew up in Murray Hill and my favorite place is Sniffen Court. Located on E 36 St, between 3rd & Lex Aves. A hidden gem. I don’t know if I have the nerve for The Edge!

    1. Wow I hadn’t heard of Sniffen Court and I’ve lived in NYC since 2008. I will definitely check it out soon, it looks amazing! The Edge isn’t as scary as it looks. There is a section of glass floor but you can avoid it if you’re scared of it and just walk on a normal floor.
