This pic was taken at the 1 Hotel in South Beach. My yellow dress was a gift from Revolve and you can shop it here.

1. Abba Telavivian Kitchen

Abba Telavivian is an Israeli restaurant in South Beach with a stunning interior and great food. My yellow dress was a gift from Revolve and you can shop it here.

Photography Tip:

Come when they open to get the prime table in the front by the window, with the boho chairs. I came during the lunch rush, so will have to go back another to get a photo sitting there.

2. Art Deco District

This Miami neighborhood has over 800 historic buildings in the square mile between the beach, 23rd Street, Lenox Court, and 6th Street. These “tropical art deco buildings” from the 1930s and 1940s are still stylish even after all these years.

You’ll feel like you’re in an old movie when you’re walking around the area – except instead of being in black and white, it’s in vibrant color.

Photography Tip:

Walk, walk, walk the neighborhood until you find your favorite buildings to photograph. Nearly every building in the area is Instagrammable.

3. Colorful Lifeguard Towers

Miami has taken the lifeguard tower game to the next level. Some are pink, some are neon green, and some are wildly multicolored.

You’ll find these fabulous Miami icons lining the beach from  87th street all the way down to the southernmost tip at South Pointe. The pink one pictured below is just a hop, skip and a jump away from The Confidante Hotel (4041 Collins Ave), which I mention again later in this post.

Photography Tip:

Unless you have a specific lifeguard tower in mind, all you need to do is hit the beach and you’ll find one of the towers in no time.

4. Vizcaya Museum & Gardens

When you step onto the grounds of Vizcaya Museum & Gardens (3251 South Miami Avenue), you may momentarily think you’ve wound up in Europe.

Vizcaya was the winter home of James Deering, a retired millionaire and 50-something bachelor who decided to built an epic retreat in Miami. Essentially, it sounds like he was a George-Clooney-pre-Amal kinda guy. Vizcaya was built in the 1910s and is now a museum that’s open to the public.

Vizcaya is open Wednesday through Monday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m (but is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day). Admission is $22 for adults, $15 for teens aged 13-17, $10 for children 6-12, free for children 5 and under, $16 for seniors, $15 for college students and $10 for visitors using wheelchairs.

Photography Tip:

Don’t miss out on exploring the grounds, they’re generally more photogenic than the interior of the house. The area near the water is reminiscent of Venice, Italy.

5. Wynwood Walls

Wynwood Walls (2520 NW 2nd Avenue) is an outdoor museum that features street art by artists from around the world. Wynwood is Miami’s old warehouse district, and a local businessman named Tony Goldman dreamed up Wynwood Walls as a way to help revitalize the neighborhood and attract pedestrian traffic.

Now, not only are the Wynwood Walls a big draw for tourists, but the whole neighborhood has become a vibrant, buzzy destination full of shops and restaurants.

Wynwood Walls is open Monday to Thursday from 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 p.m., Friday to Saturday from 10:30 a.m. – midnight, and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Admission is free.

Photography Tip:

Avoid visiting in peak sunlight – some of the walls can look pretty washed/bleached out in the mid-day sun. Also, don’t miss out on exploring the Wynwood neighborhood in general. There are plenty of eye-catching murals in the area that aren’t in the Wynwood Walls section.

6. The Confidante Hotel

Note: We stayed with The Confidante in collaboration with a well-known travel app. The Confidante also hosted us for a complimentary dinner in their restaurant but, as always, all opinions are my own.

The Confidante (4041 Collins Ave) is one of the most Instagrammable hotels I’ve ever visited. From its striped cabanas, colorful umbrellas and beachfront location, every little detail is oh-so photogenic. I was also very impressed with the hotel’s relaxed atmosphere and overall unpretentious vibe.

Photography Tip:

I honestly don’t think you can take a bad photo at The Confidante!

7. Faena

Faena is one of Miami’s premiere luxury hotels. It has a stylish pool with red umbrellas and chairs, a seashell encrusted outdoor bar and a $15 million Damien Hirst gilded woolly mammoth statue.

Photography Tip:

The woolly mammoth is easy to find. It’s a straight shot from the front doors – walk through the lobby, head back outside and you’ll see it.

If there’s a little bit of cloud cover, it will help reduce the glare on the mammoth’s glass box.

8. Dreamer Miami

What’s pretty, pink and covered in flamingos? Dreamer Miami. This adorable cafe serves acai bowls and matcha lattes and is absolutely one of the best Instagram spots in Miami. We visited their 100 Collins Ave location.

Photography Tip:

Bring a wide angle lens – the cafe is narrower than you’d think!

9. The 8th Magic Mountain

You’ve probably heard of Ugo Rondinone’s 7 Magic Mountains in Las Vegas. But did you know that Miami is home to an 8th Magic Mountain by the same artist? This standalone Magic Mountain is located in Collins Park, just outside the Bass Museum. There is no admission fee for the park and you can stop by 24/7.

Photography Tip:

The grass around the Magic Mountain was super duper itchy. I’m not allergic to grass, but both my friend and I started to react to it almost immediately. If you have sensitive skin, consider avoiding the grass altogether and posing on the concrete instead.

10. Design District

I think this part of Miami should be called the Design-er District. Because The Design District is basically a high end outdoor shopping mall with. This colorful rainbow corridor, which is a perfect Instaram opportunity, is located just outside the Fendi store.

Photography Tip:

This is a popular photo spot, so don’t be surprised if you need for other people to finish their photos before you can start shooting.

11. Big Pink

Big Pink (157 Collins Ave.) is a casual Miami diner-style restaurant that’s, well, big. And pink. We all know that Instagram loves pink, so that’s enough to make Big Pink one of the best Instagram spots in Miami.

Photography Tip:

Big Pink usually has a pink VW Beetle parked outside that is oh-so Instagrammable. It pulled up right as we were leaving but unfortunately we were tight on time and weren’t able to stick around. For the most classic photo in front of Big Pink, include the VW Beetle!

12. Dior Cafe

Dior has a pop-up cafe on the roof of its store in the Design District (162 NE 39th St). Come for the tiny $14 (!!!) lattes and that perfect Instagram shot and stay for as long as you can afford to pay $14 per coffee. (We only had one, lol).

Photography Tip:

Get a hot regular latte or matcha latte if you want to show off that iconic Dior logo. Also, try not to sneeze and blow off the Dior logo till you snap your Instagram pics. You did pay $14 for it after all. 😉
