Solo travel has been a big part of my life. My many solo trips have included Japan, South Korea, Nicaragua, Israel, Jordan, Hawaii and France, This is my gift guide for the girl who loves to travel solo, but doesn’t want to sacrifice traveling in style.

1. Belt Bag
Ugly fanny pack or awkward money belt? No thank you. This Madewell leather belt bag is a lot cuter and keeps her money and phone handy and safe.
2. Travel Journal
A Rifle Paper Co. Travel Essentials Journal is perfect for documenting her trip, so she can revisit the memories later.
3. Tripod
The lightweight MeFoto Backpacker Tripod is the tripod I use, and will help her take elevated travel photos even without a friend or significant other to help her.
4. Allbirds Sneakers
Allbirds sneakers are known to be super comfy, are machine washable and can be paired with athleisure, jeans and even dresses.

An Amazon Kindle Paperwhite will give her access to almost an infinite number of books to read during her trip. This keeps eating meals solo from feeling awkward!

This Land’s End ultralight down jacket is super lightweight and easily fits in her bag. Uniqlo also makes a really cute version of this style. Both are warm but stylish enough to wear in big cities like NYC and Paris.

A GoPro Hero 7 will help her capture her adventures. Bonus points if you include a monopod (aka the elegant way to say “selfie stick”).
8. Secret Pocket Scarf
This Travel Scarf by Waypoint Goods is stylish but actually has a hidden pocket where she can stash cash, an iPhone, her passport and other small valuables.
9. The Solo Travel Handbook
She can read The Solo Travel Handbook while waiting for her next flight or train.
10. Foldable Yoga Mat
This Gaim Foldable Yoga Mat helps her take her yoga practice anywhere.
11. Chic Anti-Theft Backpack
This Travelon Anti-Theft Signature Slim Backpack is chic enough to pass for a regular bag when she’s traveling in sophisticated locales.
12. Collapsible Water Bottle
This Valourgo collapsible water bottle is easy to stick in her handbag and fill up with water on the go.
I love me some solo travel! A travel notebook is so ideal too! I always keep little things like tickets, and buy the odd postcard, to add to mine!
Claudia xo
That’s so smart! I always forget to keep those mementos!
These are all so cool! Makes me wanna go on a solo trip!
Solo travel is definitely a great experience to have at least once!
Love all of these things. Haven’t done a solo trip in a while but maybe I should reconsider 😊 That book looks great.
