1. Cafe Tucum – One of the newest Brooklyn Coffee Shops on this List!
Details: A newcomer to Brooklyn’s Bed-Stuy neighborhood and the Brooklyn coffee shop scene, Cafe Tucum is a plant-filled oasis and Brazilian cafe in an airy and bright space.
Location: 210 Patchen Avenue, Brooklyn, NY.

2. Cloud 9 Crepes – A Cute Boba Shop
Details: Cloud 9 Crepes is a cute coffee shop in Brooklyn’s Bed Stuy neighborhood that not only offers coffee, but also serves sweet and savory crepes, boba (bubble tea) and matcha drinks. It also has an Instagrammable pastel green brick wall with cloud shaped accents.
Location: 434 Marcus Garvey Boulevard, Brooklyn, NY.

3. Trash Island – Best Pink To-Go Cups
Details: Trash Island sounds like the name of a reality show, but it’s actually a coffee shop in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, where you can order coffee drinks, PBRs or Whiteclaws. You can enjoy your drink at their blue and white counter next to their shelf full of plants and vintage Playboy magazines.
Location: 616 Halsey Street, Brooklyn, NY.

4. Love Nelly – Best Brooklyn Coffee Shop for Cakes + Empanadas
Details: Love, Nelly is a bright and colorful coffee shop and bakery in the Ocean Hill section of Bed-Stuy that’s known for its empanadas and cakes. I bought my husband a Tres Leches birthday cake here, and it did not disappoint!
Location: 53 Rockaway Ave., Brooklyn, NY.
5. Hibiscus Brew – Best Pink Brooklyn Coffee Shop
Details: Hibiscus Brew is a pretty in pink coffee + smoothie shop with an eye-catching exterior. Hibiscus Brew also serves salads and healthy smoothie bowls. It’s a block from Prospect Park (in Prospect Lefferts Gardens), making it the best Brooklyn coffee shop to hit up before your long walks in the park.
Location: 546 Flatbush Ave., Brooklyn, NY.
6. Caffe De Martini – Most Charming Exterior
Details: Gran Caffe de Martini is an Italian cafe in Prospect Heights with possibly the most charming facade in Brooklyn – it mixes classic Brownstone architecture, with pastel turquoise trim and a pink and red floral arch.
You may come for the exterior but you’ll stay for the hot and cold coffee drinks, pastries (including Nutella pastries!), and breakfast sandwiches.
Location: 609 Vanderbilt Avenue, Brooklyn, NY.
7. Homecoming – Best Brooklyn Coffee Shops for Plant Lovers
Details: Homecoming is one part coffee shop, another part plant store, another part florist with a dash of gift shop.
Location: Homecoming has two locations. The Greenpoint location (my favorite) is 107 Franklin St., Brooklyn, NY. The Williamsburg location is 92 Berry St., Brooklyn, NY.

8. Kos Kaffe – Best Farmhouse Interior
Details: Kos Kaffe in Park Slope has an eye-catching floral mural on its exterior and is airy farmhouse chic on the interior. It’s owned by a husband and wife duo, and their beans are roasted onsite daily.
Location: 251 5th Ave., Brooklyn, NY.
9. Maman – Best Local Chain of Coffee Shops
Details: Maman’s charming coffeeshops have taken over NYC! They started with a small location in SoHo, expanded to their ever-popular Greenpoint, Brooklyn, location, and have since expanded to multiple locations in NYC and locations in Toronto and Montreal, Canada.
Maman is known for their rustic white and distressed wood interiors and their French country blue and white coffee cups.
Location: In Brooklyn, you can visit Maman in Greenpoint at 80 Kent St., Brooklyn, NY. They also have a location opening soon in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn.

10. Butler Bakeshop: Best Brooklyn Coffee Shop With a View
Details: Butler is a neighborhood coffee shop that also serves breakfast, lunch and baked goods.
Location: Butler has 3 locations in Brooklyn. My favorite location is their DUMBO location at 40 Water Street because you can catch views of the Brooklyn Bridge from your table (pictured below).
Butler also has a full-service location in South Williamsburg at 95 South Fifth Street. Or you can stop by their take-out only location in North Williamsburg at 101 N. 8th Street (the exterior of this location is pictured below).

11. Poetica Coffee: Another Great Local Chain
Details: Poetica Coffee is a welcoming local chain of coffee shops with playful interiors and exteriors. Their Prospect Park West and Atlantic Avenue locations have Instagrammable floral arches on their facades.
Location: Poetica has 5 locations in Brooklyn:
- 529 Atlantic Ave (Barclays Center; pictured below)
- 240 Prospect Park West (also has a floral arch on its facade and considered their most Instagram-worthy location – definitely one of the most Instagrammable Brooklyn coffee shops you can visit!)

12. Devocion – Most Dedicated Customers
Details: Devocion has some of the most devoted customers in Brooklyn. Their locations are always packed full of people! Their beans are imported from Colombia but roasted in Brooklyn, so that their coffee is as fresh as possible. According to Devocion, they are “the only company in the world that roasts true farm-fresh coffee only 10 days after leaving origin.”
Location: Their Williamsburg location is at 69 Grand St., Brooklyn, NY, and has indoor and outdoor seating. They also have a location in Downtown Brooklyn, with indoor seating only, at 276 Livingston St., Brooklyn, NY.
